An adjunct professor with the UNLV College of Fine Arts, Sarah has built an international career as a Theatre Director, Producer, and Arts Advocate. She earned her Master of Drama Degree in Directing at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has helped to develop new interdisciplinary works with several notable artists including the original opera The Difficulty of Crossing a Field by playwright Mac Wellman and composer David Lang, featuring the Kronos Quartet. She is the founder of EatMoreArtVegas.com, the Vegas Arts Table Group, Artistic Director of The Asylum Theatre, and co-owner of Axislights Inc. #EatMoreArt

Having grown up in a small town in New Mexico, the world opened up for Julie through travel and music. As a life-long musician, Julie played flute/piccolo all through college and grad school and has played in a variety of orchestras and ensembles while living in different parts of the country and abroad. She graduated with a BBA, Marketing degree from Texas Tech University and an MS, Social and Applied Economics degree from Wright State University. Julie has been privileged to be a member of the HSO flute section since 1996, has served the orchestra as Liaison to the Board of Directors, and currently is in her third year as Director of Operations.
Julie considers herself a “Willing Adventurer” and is always looking forward to wherever life takes her. Favorite sayings: “It’s all part of the Adventure!” and “You’re never lost...just sightseeing!”
